Artist's Comments
This is the first of several commissions for the $5 sketch commissions from late last week.
This particular piece is for the Lonely Dragon. He is flying above the landscape, having a good time. This is by far the most unused sort of pose I could think of, as it is a rear shot, which is difficult in more than just a few ways. It sort of looks like he just took off, but I was trying for a shift in velocity midflight. The wings are on the uptake and he is about to shift weight forward and down. The landscape sort of fades off (since there are other sketches on the same page that had to be digitally removed.) Done with a .7mm mechanical pencil. Lonely Dragon copyright  Art is mine. |
